The Olivetti Lettera 35L, designed by Mario Bellini, is the lighter, more portable version of the metal-bodied Lettera 35. While both models share the same reliable mechanics and crisp typing feel, the 35L was streamlined for portability, featuring cleaner lines, fewer decorative trims, and a slightly reduced weight. It represents the final stage of Olivetti’s classic portable design era, where functional elegance met Bellini’s modern aesthetic.
This machine features a QWERTY keyboard layout, complete with keys for "ñ", "ç", and four accent marks — acute (´), grave (`), diaeresis (¨), and circumflex (^). These allow you to type accented characters (such as: á, è, ü, â). Please see the keyboard photo for other special characters.
The classic Olivetti Pica s a timeless serif typeface with elegant, highly readable letterforms. It produces crisp, refined text that is perfect for letters, journals, and everyday writing.
The typewriter is in very good cosmetic condition, with only some minor scuff marks on the exterior. Please review the listing photos carefully. All keys, margins, ribbon, and line spacing functions operate properly. The machine has been cleaned and tested, delivering a smooth typing experience with effortless keystrokes and a clear bell. The carrying case is in good condition, with wear consistent with age. A functional ribbon has been installed (not new but has ink), and additional fresh ribbons are available for purchase separately.
