The Olympia SM2 is the pure, unfiltered standard of mid-century German typewriter engineering, the legendary foundation that paved the way for the SM3. Retaining the tank-like build quality, rich olive-green textured finish, and exceptionally smooth, fluid typing action that made the SM series an immortal icon of 1950s design, the SM2 delivers an uncompromised, streamlined writing experience. Free from the added bulk of tabulator mechanisms, it offers an uncluttered control layout engineered strictly for precision, tactile response, and pure mechanical perfection. Classic, timeless, and effortlessly reliable, the SM2 seamlessly blends robust German craftsmanship with mid-century elegance.
This machine has an Qzerty (Italian) layout, including keys for "è", "é", "ç", "à", "ù", "ì", "ò". Please check the keyboard photos for other special symbols.
Olympia Pica features sharp, well-defined letterforms and excellent readability. Clean and dependable, it produces crisp, professional-looking text that is perfect for letters, journals, and everyday writing.
