This Olympia Traveller de Luxe, produced around 1970s, is a compact yet durable portable typewriter known for its precision, reliability, and timeless modernist design. Built with German engineering excellence, the Traveller de Luxe was designed to accompany writers and students on the move — light enough to travel with, yet strong enough to last a lifetime. The white body gives it a clean and minimalist appearance, making it as stylish as it is functional.
It features a QWERTY keyboard layout (Spanish), complete with keys for "ñ", and "ç", and four accent marks — acute (´), grave (`), diaeresis (¨), and circumflex (^). These allow you to type accented characters such as á, è, ü, â. Please see the keyboard photo for other special characters.
Olympia Pica features sharp, well-defined letterforms and excellent readability. Clean and dependable, it produces crisp, professional-looking text that is perfect for letters, journals, and everyday writing.
This machine is in good cosmetic condition, showing some small stain marks on the exterior. Please pay close attention to the listing photos. All keys, margins, and ribbon functions operate properly. Basic cleaning and adjustments have been performed to ensure a smooth and responsive typing experience. The original carrying case is functional, and shows some wear consistent of age (shown in the last photo). A new ribbon has been installed, and fresh ribbons can be purchased separately.
