This Olympia Traveller de Luxe, produced in the 1970s, is a compact yet durable portable typewriter celebrated for its precision, reliability, and timeless modernist design. Engineered with the quality typical of German craftsmanship, it was created to accompany writers and students on the move — light enough to travel with, yet sturdy enough to last a lifetime. Its vibrant orange body adds a cheerful touch to a highly practical, easy-to-use machine.
It features a QWERTY keyboard layout (Spanish), complete with keys for "ñ", and "ç", and four accent marks — acute (´), grave (`), diaeresis (¨), and circumflex (^). These allow you to type accented characters such as á, è, ü, â. Please see the keyboard photo for other special characters.
Olympia Pica features sharp, well-defined letterforms and excellent readability. Clean and dependable, it produces crisp, professional-looking text that is perfect for letters, journals, and everyday writing.
This machine is in good cosmetic condition, showing some minor marks on the exterior. Please review the photos carefully. All keys, margins, line spacing, and ribbon functions operate properly. Basic cleaning and adjustments have been performed to ensure a smooth and responsive typing experience. The original carrying case shows age-appropriate signs of wear and is included; it remains fully functional, as shown in the last photo. A new ribbon has been installed, and fresh ribbons can be purchased separately.
