This Olivetti Lettera 32 was made in Spain around 1970s — a classic mid-century portable typewriter loved by writers, journalists, and thinkers around the world. Its teal body and timeless Italian design by Marcello Nizzoli embody both function and beauty: compact, precise, and built to last.
It features a QWERTY keyboard layout (Spanish), complete with keys for "ñ", and "ç", and four accent marks — acute (´), grave (`), diaeresis (¨), and circumflex (^). These allow you to type accented characters such as á, è, ü, â. Please see the keyboard photo for other special characters.
This machine is fitted with a very cute sans serif Cubic typeface. Created in the spirit of mid century modernist typography, Cubic reflects the geometric and forward looking design language of the Space Age era, with clean lines, balanced proportions, and confident square forms that create a distinctly modern, architectural, almost techno impression on the page. Compared to the standard Olivetti serif typeface, Cubic typeface has its own character with a slightly rounder stance and even rhythm, making it highly legible yet visually distinctive.
This machine is in very good cosmetic condition, showing some small marks around the corners in the back. Please pay close attention to the listing photos. All keys, margins, line spacing, and ribbon functions operate properly. Basic cleaning and adjustments have been performed to ensure a smooth and responsive typing experience. A carrying bag, showing wear consistent with age, is available as an add-on for this typewriter. A new ribbon has been installed on the original metal spools, and fresh ribbons can be purchased separately.
