The Olivetti Pluma 22 is the Spanish-market version of the iconic Lettera 22, designed by Marcello Nizzoli and engineered by Giuseppe Beccio. Produced in Spain in the 1960s under license from Olivetti, it features the same elegant design, lightweight aluminum body, and precise mechanics as the Lettera 22 — just without the tabulator function. A true mid-century classic with Mediterranean charm and timeless reliability.
It features a QWERTY keyboard layout (Spanish), complete with keys for "ñ", and "ç", and four accent marks — acute (´), grave (`), diaeresis (¨), and circumflex (^). These allow you to type accented characters such as á, è, ü, â. Please see the keyboard photo for other special characters.
The classic Olivetti Elite s a timeless serif typeface with elegant, highly readable letterforms. It produces crisp, refined text that is perfect for letters, journals, and everyday writing.
This typewriter is in excellent cosmetic condition. The only noticeable imperfections are a few small marks shown in the photos. Please pay close attention to the listing photos. All keys, margins, line spacing, and ribbon functions operate properly. Basic cleaning and adjustments have been performed to ensure a smooth and responsive typing experience. The original carrying bag shows wear consistent with age and is available as an add-on for this typewriter. A new ribbon has been installed on the original metal spool, and additional ribbons can be added to the purchase.
