Feel free to browse our collection beforehand, or ask for a personalized recommendation based on your typing style and preferences. We feature a wide variety of typewriters with keyboard layouts in English, Portuguese, French, Spanish, German, and Italian, including rare studio-exclusive models not listed online.
- Paper & Wax Sealing Bar: Unlimited access to premium papers, cardstock, envelopes, and a hands-on wax sealing station.

Accessibility: There are a few small steps at the ground-floor entrance, followed by elevator access up to the studio.
- Pet Notice 🐱: Please note that CasaTempo is home to a friendly (but shy) resident cat. During the event, the cat will be resting in another area of the studio, but this space may not be suitable for guests with severe cat allergies.
About Your Host
Jessie is a vintage typewriter enthusiast with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. After accidentally catching the typewriter bug, she filled her home with hundreds of machines, hand-restoring over half of them herself. Today, she runs CasaTempo to share her collection and pass on the tactile joy of mechanical writing.

Where is the studio located?
The studio is located in the Picoas / São Sebastião area, within easy walking distance of São Sebastião, Parque, and Picoas metro stations. The exact street address and door code will arrive in your booking confirmation email.
Do I need to bring anything?
We provide all tools, paper, wax, and drinks! However, if you are working on a personal project, journaling, or scrapbooking, feel free to bring your own specialty stationery along.
Do I need prior typewriter experience?
Not at all! This is a beginner-friendly workshop. We’ll take the first 5–10 minutes to learn machine quirks and warm up your fingers. (Warning: once you start typing, it's hard to stop!)
Is there an age limit?
Anyone aged 12 and older is welcome to attend on their own. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian.
What language is the workshop conducted in?
The workshop is hosted primarily in English.
What is the cancellation policy?
Tickets are fully refundable up to 48 hours before the event. Due to our limited 6-person capacity, tickets are non-refundable within 48 hours, but you are always welcome to transfer your seat to a friend!
