About this pitcher:
This is a vintage pottery pitcher produced by L’Atelier d’Accolay, a French ceramics workshop founded in 1945 in Burgundy. Accolay became known for its sculptural forms, textured surfaces, and expressive use of natural clay bodies during the mid-century period.

The piece features a rounded, organic silhouette with a pronounced pouring spout and elegantly drawn handle. The surface displays a dense, fine speckling across a warm brown glaze, characteristic of iron-rich clay fired at high temperature. The form is both rustic and refined, reflecting the strong material sensibility of French studio pottery from the 1960s–1970s.

It works beautifully as:
• A small flower pitcher
• A decorative vase
• A sculptural accent for modern, rustic, or organic interiors

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. No cracks observed. Minor surface wear consistent with age. The glaze remains intact with natural variation from the firing process. Light wear to the base is present. The original label shows age-related wear. Please review photos carefully for details. Noticeable imperfections, if any, are shown in the listing images.

Disclaimer:
This is a vintage item. Minor signs of age or light surface wear may remain despite careful inspection. Variations in the glaze, including tonal shifts, texture, or small irregularities, are part of the original firing process and design, characteristic of mid-century stoneware. These are not considered defects but part of the piece’s authentic production.
