This is a vintage Wittner mechanical metronome produced in West Germany during the 1980s, a period when Wittner was internationally recognized for its precision and reliability. Designed in the classic Maëlzel pyramid form, this model reflects a later evolution in materials, featuring a lightweight plastic body finished in a warm woodgrain pattern, paired with a clear protective cover.
The wind-up mechanical movement delivers a steady, consistent tempo without the need for batteries; simply turn the key and let the rhythm begin. Bell mechanism:
